This is a painting of poppies that is based on a photograph I took at “The Farm“ Byron Bay, Australia. It is called “Opera“ because the poppy in the right hand corner of the painting reminds me of the Opera House. The name is also poignant because the poppies and all of the colours all sing together and remind me of music. The painting is acrylic on canvas and the canvas is wrapped around the back of the painting (3.5cm thick) so it can be hung without a frame.
