This is a painting of bees approaching poppies which was based on a photograph that I took at Byron Bay at a place called ‘The Farm’. The bees remind me of little spaceships approaching the mothership, which is the flowers. The world must look so huge to those little creatures And approaching the huge colourful flowers must be so inviting and exciting for them. The painting is acrylic on canvas which is wrapped around the back (3.5cm thick) so that it can be hung without being framed.
